We are so excited that you have made a decision to get baptized. Here, at New Mt. Calvary, we believe baptism outwardly demonstrates an inward change in your spiritual life. Additionally, we believe baptism is in ordinance of the church. While it is not necessary for salvation, it demonstrates submission to God. We immerse at New Mt. Calvary because we believe Scripture shows that Jesus modeled that for us as the way to publicly acknowledge our faith in Him.
When it comes to baptism at our church, we have a few short steps for you to help you begin your spiritual journey. First, all candidates for baptism will be contacted by our Member Support Staff to welcome you to our church family. Next, you will be invited to participate in a brief baptism course entitled “The Meaning of Baptism” that is held every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. During this time, our staff we’ll talk about the decision to follow Jesus, what baptism means, why we do it, and what baptism changes about our relationship with God. Then, we will be prepared to celebrate your decision as a church family.
If you have questions about baptism or would like to set-up a meeting, please fill out the form below and a representative of our Member Support team will be in touch with you.
