We are so excited that you have made the decision to get baptized. Here, at New Mt. Calvary, we believe baptism outwardly demonstrates an inward change in your spiritual life. Additionally, we believe baptism is an ordinance of the church. While it is not necessary for salvation, it demonstrates submission to God. We immerse at New Mt. Calvary because we believe Scripture shows that Jesus modeled that for us as the way to publicly acknowledge our faith in Him.
When it comes to baptism at our church, we have a few short steps to help you begin your spiritual journey. First, all candidates for baptism will be contacted by our Member Support Staff to welcome you to our church family. Next, you will be invited to participate in a brief baptism course entitled “The Meaning of Baptism”. During this time, our staff will talk about the decision to follow Jesus, what baptism means, why we do it, and what baptism changes about our relationship with God. Then, we will be prepared to celebrate your decision as a church family.
